The best comedy team in a long while was born in the new movie
Date Night. I could watch Tina Fey in anything. She's a genius. And Steve Carell - well, he was less irritating with Fey. Don't get me wrong, he's hilarious too, but often falls into the dangerous Stiller/Vaughn category of playing the same character over and over again.
Date Night finds Fey and Carell, a "boring married couple from New Jersey", on the run in NYC after a case of mistaken identity. What follows is hilarious and awesome.
There were tons of terrific cameos (which I won't spoil for you here) and the banter and chemistry between Fey and Carell was just priceless.
Date Night is so much fun, I can't wait to see it again. One of my favorite lines: "They stabbed a chicken nugget with a sharpie. These are bad people."

Speaking of Stiller, I saw
Greenberg last week, but didn't post about it. I wasn't really a fan of this movie. I thought the premise and relationship between the characters was interesting, but just too irritating. I found myself getting annoyed by the characters rather than being drawn to them. I did think Greta Gerwig was pretty good. She had a nice Kate Winslet-ian quality. Waste of Chris Messina though.
